Maasai Mara
One of the most popular safari destinations in Kenya, Maasai Mara is home to the "Big Five" (leopards, lions, elephants, buffalo, and the black rhinoceros), in addition to a variety of other wildlife. If you're visiting during the months of July through August you'll witness the Great Wildebeest Migration! Be sure to bring your camera to take photos of all the wildlife Visit a Maasai boma (traditional village) as you finish your safari.
Aberdares Forest
Enjoy a safari through the Aberdares National Park where you will see elephants, snakes, exotic birds, buffalo and monkeys and a variety of colorful flora. Walk under the many waterfalls after eating lunch on top of the hills overlooking the entire forest.
Nakuru National Park
Take a safari through Nakuru National Park to see the lions, leopards, cheetahs, and the numerous zebra, buffalo, antelope, and flamingos that live within the park. Observe the endangered Black Rhino in the Nakuru Rhino Sanctuary, a very popular safari destination. Wake up early and witness the baboons making their way up Baboon Cliff each morning as the sun rises over Lake Nakuru, you may even make friends with a very sleepy baboon!
Mt. Longonot
Take a hike up the dormant volcano Mt. Longonot. If you're up to it, walk around the entire crater; you may even come across a herd of wild giraffe on your way down! Visit the newly constructed Longonot ECD Pre-Primary School, our community outreach project, near the base of the mountain as you finish your hike!
Kakamega Forest
Take a walk through the Kakamega Forest where you are sure to see snakes, exotic birds, and many, many monkeys. Learn about the many different types of trees, plants and animals that reside in the forest and climb the large tower that allows you to overlook the forests very large canopy.
Mombasa and Lamu
Relax on the beaches of the coast of Kenya while enjoying fresh coconut milk and fruits. Whether you wish to lounge at one of the local restaurants, swim in the very warm Indian Ocian, go snorkeling, fishing, camel riding, or enjoy a leisurely walk along the beach, there's something for everyone to do in Mombasa and Lamu. The nightclubs are also a great place to dance and relax at the end of a long, hot day!
Ngong Hills
Take a walk up and along Ngong Hills to enjoy the incredible view of the Great Rift Valley that lies below. Enjoy a picnic on top of the hills or stop by Savannah Sunset Resort for some nyama choma after your hike, conveniently located along the hills of Ngong.
Mt. Kenya
The second tallest mountain in Africa, Mt. Kenya is an enjoyable yet challenging climb for both experienced and beginning climbers. Watch the sun rise over the horizon as you summit the mountain and gaze across the vast African landscape that surrounds you. On a clear day, you can see Mt. Kilimanjaro, the only mountain in Africa taller than the one you've just climbed!
Mt. Suswa
Mount Suswa, a massive double volcanic crater, is one of Kenya’s least known mountains and conservation areas. Only 50 km from Nairobi, it is described by many as the best day trip from Kenya’s capital, this little known yet massive double cratered volcano is located very close to it’s well known sister, Mt. Longonot. Though unimpressive from the outside or main Narok road Mt. Suswa is one of the most spectacular mountains of the Rift Valley as it comprises a 12 km across double crater system, a vast network of obsidian caves and a variety of wild animals and plants.
Suswa is a magnificent extinct volcano in the Rift Valley. It is famed for the many caves on its E slopes. All are easy to access, none are too long or complex and no special gear or knowledge is required explore these systems. The lonely mountain is waiting for you to explore!
